had seen this villian make this over bet 2 hands before on the turn when i was out of position and had to give my hand up againt him, thought i would try the check behind on the turn for value line and it worked out ok

was this played correctly or could i have gotten more value out of this hand at any point??

you played it perfectly consider his hand on the flop :)
With your reads I´d also check back turn, but raise bigger on the river to 1.5-2$. If he has there any pair I think he would call consider that he tries to bluff out people and might easily expect to see there bluff

      Hello johny8984,

Huh? You were OOP? No you are IP against him, just bet the turn for value! We have a very strong hand and we have to build up the pot and also extract value. Also we have like 16 hands on him? How do you make such predictions? Just bet all streets for value and build up the pot. :)

      Best regards.
