Would you lay down the aq against this tight player pre-flop? i raise him on the flop to see if he has an ace then when he shoves i know i'm beat. He's either got ak or a set

      Hello ockerdoc,

Preflop: Just fold it here, you are putting yourself into trouble also you are giving good odds for others to Call behind you and we don't want to play in multiway pot.

      As lpayed
Postflop: Actually I'd rather just Call it against that kind of opponent, what worse do you want you to Call? And also he will likely 3bet us if he has some strong hand and we would be in ugly situation. And also with your raise/fold you are turning your hand just into bluff.

      Best regards.

Hi Veriz thanks for the input. If you call the flop would you call the turn then fold the river if he keeps firing at least 3/4 pot each time?

That's close since we rather at the best beat AJ and likely split with AQ and lose to AK and maybe even stronger hands. Therefore if he is potting the turn again then I'd even consider making the weak fold and rather wait for better spot. He ain't bluffing there anyways.
