Hand converted with online PokerStrategy.com hand converter:

      Play hand

      $0.1/$0.25 No-Limit Hold'em (6 handed)

      Known players:
      CO:
      $27.52
      BU:
      $49.52
      SB:
      $46.24
      BB:
      $35.56
      MP2 (Hero):
      $26.74
      MP3:
      $24.06

      Preflop: Hero is MP2 with K, K.
Hero raises to $1.00, 3 folds, SB calls $0.90, BB calls $0.75.

      Flop: ($3) 2, 3, 4 (3 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets $2.00, SB folds, BB raises to $7.75, Hero raises to $25.74, BB calls $17.99.

      Turn: ($54.48) A (2 players)

      River: ($54.48) 4 (2 players)

      Final Pot: $54.48.

Can I expect to be ahead often enough to justify shoving the flop or should I call flop and reevaluate on the turn?

I´d just fold, since players won´t raise that flop usually with overpairs but rather with sets that would want to protect his hand
If you see him playing that way 55/TT-QQ then shove is also fine
