Playing the small blind in SSS

      Hey guys

One thing Ive noticed about the beginner and intermediate SSS articles is that playing (just completing) from the small blind is rarely mentioned.

I am beginning to understand (more from experience) that playing the small blind is difficult due to being out of position, but the starting hands chart doesnt seem to mention playing much from the SB.

I mean in a limped pot (say 2-3 limpers), am I really folding J9 offsuit, and 57 suited? Suppose the BB has been playing very passively, and is unlikely to raise? Arent I throwing away alot of equity considering I am often getting 7-1 or better to complete?
