      also have a look at CFD's (contract for differences). the australia supplier of these has a pretty good platform where you can track just about everything and buy and sell (including selling short) with a few easy clicks. everything from stocks (from every major stock market), oil, futures, bonds, currency and commodities prices (just in case you are sure the price south american cocoa is going to sky rocket)
