I think your Queens are good, unless he had 98s or something wacky like that (in which case he is crap imo)

I expect he had TT or JJ.

I cant see you being beat, I would expect a reraise from KK or AA.

I would bet the river though (value betting beats the micros so Im told).

I am not the expert though.

See I think that that's a pretty much standard play except the river. But the thing is I've lost at least 5BI in pretty much identical situations so I started to doubt my play in these situations.

Maybe your escalating the pot a bit too much, he could be playing for set value and have a set, but I think it looks more like an overpair. I think he would reraise the flop with a set (unless it was top set) to see where he was.

Is that what he had then a set of something on flop? Hard to get away from, I wouldnt have been able to, but the experts probably could have.

      Howdy,

We can't skip betting flop as we have to protect our hand multiway and obviously he can have worse on turn so I don't see reason not to bet. Of course he could have sets here and there's really no reason for him to raise them as board is pretty dry, but for the reason there's not only better hands but also worse in his range - I think we have to bet just to avoid situation where he checks his worse hands behind and we miss value.

And I'd say we could just shove river ourselves as he may have a hand like 9x/TT/JJ and he will call with it but may check them back.

      Good luck!
