I have HoH and HoH2. I'm currently grinding s&g turbo's 15+1, and will soon move up to 25+2. I want to learn more about poker in general, or cashgames, because I have to be 100% ready if i have the bankroll to grind casino's. I was thinking of sklansky, but which book is "the" sklansky book? Nl hold'em, or theory of poker? Or do you have any other recommendations? Im gonna order at pokerstars so there are a lot of books I can choose from...

well I am reading theory and practice (actually re-reading) and I am quite happy about it...) there are very few quality books for NL cashgames...

Phil gordon`s book is also ok, actually, you can start with it...

theory of poker is a great book by sklansky, but its more for limit players... I`ve read it though...

it's not in the pokerstarsstore. I want it, because I likede the cover. It's more like a businessbook (how do I make lots of money on the internet) then a pokerbook, because it's more about mechanical multitabling strategic play then about making real decisionss I think. Ill get this one somewhere else someday.

I ordered 5 books and they arrived yesterday (HoH1, HoH2, NL: Theory & Practice (Sklanksy), Professional No Limit Hold'Em Volume One, Tournament Poker for advanced players(Sklansky)).

I allready read parts (most) of the first 3 books when I downloaded them. They were quite good so I bought them. NL Theory & Practice is really one you should have. It is the best book I have already read and the best Sklansky I read. Currently I'm reading Professional No Limit Hold'Em Volume One which should be a good book considered the reviews and is on of the only books focust on NL cash games. I will post more about it whem I'm finished, but I don't have many time atm (exams).

Tournament Poker for Advanced Players was a quite impulsive acquirement, I'm afraid that it might be a bit outdated. However it is completely reworked this summer so I certainly will look into it.

Gordon's book wasn't too bad either, but it isn't that good. It's more like, when i flop trips i do this, when i flop that i do that... However you might pick up some interessesting things if you read it.

I'm also interessested in the SNG Strategty book by Moshman that you mentioned and I'm looking forward to Harrington on Cashgames 1&2, Professional NL Hold'em Volume II, Winning in Tough Hold 'em Games for No-Limit by Stoxtrader and Heads Up Hold 'em: Expert Advice for Winning Heads Up Poker Matches (Moshman). I'll buy them as soon as I digested my 5 first books.

The The Full Tilt Strategy Guide: Tournament Edition (10) by Andy Bloch, Richard Brodie, Chris Ferguson, Ted Forrest, Rafe Furst, Phil Gordon, David Grey, Howard Lederer, Mike Matasow, Huckleberry Seed, Keith Sexton, Gavin Smith, and edited by Michael Craig also looks interesting, but I'm afraid that they just release it to sell because of the full tilt branding and the player names, without descent content. Anyone read it?

lots of great advice. What do you think of the s&g book? I can't buy it with fpp's, so I'll have to use cash if i want it. Is it worth it?

I'm waiting for theory and practise, but stars mailorder is a bit slow, so i'll have to be patient.
