Vicious Rake

Ok so I'm some hands past the first 10k on Titan and I decided to do some calculations about the rake. I was quite shocked at the results

      NL2

      Hands: 7602
      Rake: $26,46

so calculating per 100 hands in bb:

      (26,46/76,02)/0,02 = 17,4 bb/100

      NL4

      Hands: 4896
      Rake: $32,96

      per 100 in bb:

      (32,96/48,96)/0,04 = 16,8 bb/100

WTF? Really?! Are you kidding me? :f_eek: I mean I don't have much of a sample on other sites since I recently switched to HM and a new computer but the 2k I have on Full Tilt suggests that the rake is three times less there (albeit on NL5) and this is consistent with what I've seen people say about the FT rake. (around 6bb/100 on the micros)
Anyways, am I wrong in my calculations or are the guys at Titan just greedy? (in which case I have to say: best VIP program in the world my ass!)

The other obvious question is if this gets significantly better at NL10 and NL20? (I'm really not intrested in higher because it will take some time to build a BR sufficient for NL50)

Dunno about Titan but I know FT:
      I have never played NL2 or NL5 , but I know that NL10 has 7% rake and NL25 has 5%. stars has 5% @ NL10.

Any idea how that translates into bb/100? Because the point of my calculations was to see how much the rake effects my winrate and if there would be a significant benefit from moving to other sites after I clear the bonus. There's no reason to stay at titan if I could build my BR faster elsewhere.

I also wanted to know why I've been having such trouble beating NL2. I only have 2,33bb/100 but if the rake is 17,4bb/100 it really isn't that weird :s_evil:

I do know that virtually all the sites offer better rake conditions at higher limits I just wondered if the others offer better conditions at the micros than Titan.

I don't think there is that much difference between sites, at least not three times what other sites rake.

For the fact that you only win 2,33bb/100 at NL2, don't blame the rake, competition is really soft at this limit, you should be able to win at least 3 times more.

is indeed shocking to ipoker rake in NL10 .. just have lost a customer, a good customer and generate almost 600 dollars rake in all rooms playing every month, pokerstars has 5% of that here because they have 7% -7.5%?? goodbye however, and it wrote was wrong and began to play on them
