Anyway I can prevent this?

      Here are two similar situations where I make top trips with only 1 hole card. I was more inclined to fold in the first situation because of my kicker but I actualy won there and lost in the second. About the second situation : I planned a check/call. His bet was high, I acknowledge that, but if he's got trip queens aswell he would also bet big. Both villains are unknown and I'm not using stats (it's NL10 after all :( )

      First hand was played ok although I'd bet the flop myself versus a BTN limper.

      If you consider him to be aggro ck/calling is definitely fine to keep all his bluffs in.
      I do not think we should ever consider folding that hand on the river, especially to such a bet size. If he were to overbet the river or shove then we might have an argument.


      In the second hand I'd play it the same way without any reads. He can donk the turn with worse Kx hands (KJ, K9) and bluffs/weak draws like AQ, AJ.
