      Hi Fellow PS members,

I have in my infinite wisdom decided that writing a blog will help me focus my game and vent when needed to about beats / fish etc.

I am currently 31 years old and have been playing poker on and off for the last 3 years - I had some success last year banking about $1K on Betfair but then they changed the software and I couldn't get on with it.

I found this site and reg for the $50 and then spun it up to $300+ but then went on a complete tilt and donked it :( I have decided to depo $150 on William Hill and to go from there.

My main aims are to improve my game and avoid completely the issue of tilt.

I plan to post highs and lows of most sessions on here to get support and more importantly feedback on my play. Longer term I wish to develop the $150 into $1.5K to play the $50 SHNL tables - Also I wish to get up to 750K WH points to get the $1.5K bonus which if I can play a solid enough game I expect I should achieve by the end of the year.

      Goals :-

Stick to 90 minutes sessions playing a maximum of 6 tables
Avoid tilt - Make a note of the signals
Review good and bad sessions on here
Post an update every day or so when playing

Here goes with the first session starting now....

Right then - Very bad news :( I had a great session yesterday up until this guy tilted me by calling me a fish when I opened QQ in position to get called by the BB flop is 8 high rainbow he pots it I call turn comes a blank he pots again I shove he flips over 89o and of course you guessed it hits 2 pair on the river...

SO to cut a long story short I tilted off 50$ last night and proceeded to think about this today in the car - Accident M25 so plenty of thinking time.

Start over again today with 100$ in the account - Close all chat boxes and avoid talking to other players. Think about those suck outs in another way i.e. hope for the call with 89o in the example given....

Anyway I played for 120 minutes today and have the following interesting hands to share with a bankroll now of $131 - I know it isn't the best BRM but I am playing $10 tables.

      No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (6 handed) - Hold'em Manager Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

      BB ($10.15)
      UTG ($18.72)
      MP ($10)
      Hero (CO) ($10.17)
      Button ($15.15)
      SB ($38.77)

Preflop: Hero is CO with 8, 8
2 folds, Hero bets $0.35, 2 folds, BB calls $0.25

      Flop: ($0.75) J, 8, 9 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $0.75, BB raises $3, Hero raises $9.07 (All-In), BB calls $6.80 (All-In)

      Turn: ($20.35) 9 (2 players, 2 all-in)

      River: ($20.35) 6 (2 players, 2 all-in)

      Total pot: $20.35

This flop scared me as it is draw heavy so hence the flop play - Was very happy to see TPTK from opponent :)

      No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (5 handed) - Hold'em Manager Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

      Button ($10)
      SB ($11.70)
      BB ($8.80)
      Hero (UTG) ($11.92)
      MP ($10)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with 7, 7
Hero bets $0.35, 2 folds, SB calls $0.30, BB calls $0.25

      Flop: ($1.05) 5, 4, 3 (3 players)
SB bets $0.70, BB calls $0.70, Hero calls $0.70

      Turn: ($3.15) 6 (3 players)
SB checks, BB bets $1.57, Hero raises $5.89, 1 fold, BB raises $6.18 (All-In), Hero calls $1.86

      River: ($18.65) 3 (2 players, 1 all-in)

      Total pot: $18.65

      Villain - QQ

This was a funny hand as the guy was cursing in the chat box about this being a joke - I thought his play was pretty bad with an overpair on such a wet board - Is my post flop call sensible - Assuming I wasn't up against a made straight I thought 6 outs was enough to call.

      PLAYING SETS OOP ?

      No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (4 handed) - Hold'em Manager Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

      Hero (BB) ($9.93)
      UTG ($10.15)
      Button ($15.28)
      SB ($7.30)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 2, 2
1 fold, Button bets $0.35, 1 fold, Hero calls $0.25

      Flop: ($0.75) 2, 7, K (2 players)
      Hero checks, Button checks

      Turn: ($0.75) Q (2 players)
Hero bets $0.75, Button calls $0.75

      River: ($2.25) 6 (2 players)
      Hero checks, Button checks

      Villain - AJo

      Total pot: $2.25

How do you get the most value out of playing sets OOP ? Is it best to call LP PFR with 22-99 hoping for the set ? Or better to simply fold ?

      No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (5 handed) - Hold'em Manager Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

      Flop: ($0.65) 4, 8, Q (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $0.65, Hero calls $0.65

      Turn: ($1.95) 6 (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $1.95, Hero calls $1.95

Hero checks, Button bets $5.20, Hero calls $5.20

      Total pot: $16.25

      Villain - 44

This was towards the end of the session - I really do not know why I called this down - He bets 3 streets of value and have to say this was the fishiest hand I played of the session - Why I didn't fold this PF is beyond me...

      An odd hand IMO

      No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (5 handed) - Hold'em Manager Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

      Button ($9.91)
      Hero (SB) ($9.90)

Preflop: Hero is SB with K, A
2 folds, Button bets $0.30, Hero raises $0.95, 1 fold, Button calls $0.70

      Flop: ($2.10) 7, A, 9 (2 players)
      Hero checks, Button checks

      Turn: ($2.10) 2 (2 players)
Hero bets $2.10, Button calls $2.10

      River: ($6.30) 4 (2 players)
      Hero bets $4.72, Button raises $6.81 (All-In), Hero calls $2.08 (All-In)

      Total pot: $19.90

      Villain - Q8d

Villain was 39/29 over 120 hands - I wasn't expecting to see this hand and the way I played this was to extract value from weaker aces and KK-TT

Anyway I finally got around to posting my first blog post - What's the best site to convert HH ? I have HEM...
