Hi guys I hope you can help me.

I've just installed elephant, created a new database and set the import folders.

When I run import it says 0 hands imported although it found the files and it says import error

I'd like to import hands from another database (HEM) to elephant database and let them working at the same time while playing.

      Is that possible?

      thank you

      Hey cyrax83,

I don't think that's possible since you would have to run 2 different postgreSQL services to handle both databases since they are different in their structure.

You can only run Elephant databases with postgreSQL when you create the database from within the Elephant.

To import hands into your Elephant database export them from HEM or import your original handhistory.

It`s possible to use 1 PostgreSQL service for 2 programs but user should:
      1) Use following username\password in Elephant: postgres\postgrespass
      2) Import all hands in Elephant from folder C:\HMArchive

Yes, there is a workaround, but the HEM database uses a different character set (UTF8) if I am not mistaken.

You could probably create a second/third database from within the elephant using the login credentials from HEM.

No second postgreSQL service is needed - mistake on my part.
