      No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (8 handed)

      Button ($10.02)
      SB ($2.24)

      CO ($1.85)

      Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with A, K
1 fold, Hero bets $0.40, 5 folds, BB calls $0.30

      Flop: ($0.85) A, 8, 4 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $0.60, BB raises to $1.50, Hero calls $0.90

      Turn: ($3.85) 7 (2 players)
BB bets $2.50, Hero raises to $11.35, BB calls $4.39 (All-In)

      River: ($17.63) J (2 players, 1 all-in)

      Total pot: $17.63 | Rake: $0.88

      Results below:
BB had A, 8 (two pair, Aces and eights).
Hero had A, K (one pair, Aces).
      Outcome: BB won $33.50

Guy was a total fish. In these situations should I go for a cheap showdown and try to pot control or just shove the flop?

      Hello Slimijs,

Usually when fishes raise then they do have a strong hand, unless the fish is aggressive player. Therefore I might even consider just folding on flop unless I know he is more aggressive guy. But calling on flop ain't that big mistake, although I don't like the shove on turn, rather take pot control and then reevaluate on river or even more often just take his line pretty strong and just fold it. :)

      Best regards.
