One hand I sometimes have difficulty with is AK when it doesn't hit the flop... sometimes it's hard to know which flops are best for c-betting... I haven't c-bet AK very often recently, because its been spewy.

This table was loose and aggressive post-flop.

      UTG+1 - 100/27/AF = 3.5 in 29 hands
      BB - 33/11/AF = 1.5 in 18 hands
      Hero - 14/14/AF = 2.0 in 29 hands

      Grabbed by Holdem Manager
      NL Holdem $0.02(BB) Replayer
      SB ($2.13)
      BB ($1.31)
      UTG ($0.64)
      UTG+1 ($2.52)
      CO ($1.97)
      Hero ($2.24)

      Dealt to Hero A:diamond: K:heart:

fold, UTG+1 calls $0.02, fold, Hero raises to $0.10, fold, BB calls $0.08, UTG+1 calls $0.08

      FLOP ($0.31) 6:diamond: 8:club: 9:diamond:

BB checks, UTG+1 checks, Hero checks

      TURN ($0.31) 6:diamond: 8:club: 9:diamond: 9:heart:

BB checks, UTG+1 bets $0.35, Hero folds, BB folds

      UTG+1 wins $0.29

Would I be right in saying this is not a particularly good situation to c-bet?

Although I have position, I am 99% certain that BOTH opponents would not have folded to a c-bet, and I suspect this flop isn't the best for that anyways... therefore I didn't bother wasting chips. :)

Interested to hear your opinion again... thanks..

      Hello philhellmutt,

There is no point to bet into multiway pot there, rather just Check behind and hope to hit and then if you do hit then do reevaluate. Nice hand!

      Best regards.
