Preflop ? Fold, raise, ok call ?

On flop I think it´s clear fold, but what about if the flop was like 4  8  2 :diamond: and villain would make the same move ? How should I react when holding an overpair ?

      Hello acceleration123,

Preflop ? Fold, raise, ok call ?

Raise would be a bit overplayed since he could still have there a lot higher PP or at the best we get a coinflip. Therefore it's either a Call or fold, sometimes even if I see the opponent being rather a tight guy I'd just fold it, although when we against unknown you can as well consider Calling and playing postflop.

On flop I think it´s clear fold, but what about if the flop was like 4 Heart 8 Heart 2 Diamond and villain would make the same move ? How should I react when holding an overpair ?

Not much you can do on such a flop but when we had like 482, you can likely float one street and then reevaluate on further streets.

      Best regards.
