Villain: 20/15/1.8 during 300 hands, raise flop cbet 22.

Full Tilt Poker $0.05/$0.10 No Limit Hold'em - 6 players

      SB: $10.20
      BB: $14.30
      UTG: $10.66
      Hero (MP): $18.16
      CO: $10.00
      BTN: $10.29

Pre Flop: ($0.15) Hero is MP with J:spade: A:spade:
1 fold, Hero raises to $0.30, 1 fold, BTN calls $0.30, 2 folds

      Flop: ($0.75) 2:spade: J:heart: 3:heart: (2 players)
Hero bets $0.50, BTN raises to $1.40, Hero calls $0.90

      Turn: ($3.55) 8:diamond: (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $2.30, Hero calls $2.30

      River: ($8.15) 8:spade: (2 players)
      Hero checks, BTN checks

Well basically when I faced his raise on the flop I thought "ok, set probably, as he does look like pretty solid player, lets fold it", but after I checked his raise flop cbet stats I changed my mind and decided to bluffcatch. Was my play reasonable here?

      Hello Bliausmas,

Against those kind of opponents seems to be fine, although I am often times folding on river if I face a big bet.

      Best regards.

Yeah, and actually shove was what I expected, but he was bluffing with AQ.

Did he have Ah? I guess its not so bad if he has Ah.
I play same as you and maybe c/f river maybe c/c, its strange spot bc we shouldn't beat any of his value range but we beat anything else. (Apart from *maybe* KJ but its unlikely). River is interesting as to c/f or c/c, depends on his level of thinking, like if he is good he will realise that you don't fold river after you call turn because it's such a brick. Although if he thinks your good then he might still do it ;) . Obv the river is just a bit of meta-game, what level do u put him on? If he's a bad reg i'd probs call, a good reg i'd fold, I don't think the meta goes any further than that really. Maybe even some good regs will shove missed draw there I duno.
