      Nah, I don't really like Check/Raise there, we just isolating ourself against better hands. Rather Bet/Call there as you played, further streets not much you can do. Nice hand!

      the purpose of cold calling PF with a pocket pair is to hit a set on the flop. he raised before the flop, he can have aces or kings...

      why is it good to bet in this situation? get information from the villain?

      Yes, we are expecting to hit a set, although 99 is pretty good as well as overpair. And as well we could consider Check/Call.

      It looks stronger and as well we protect from any kind of draw and overcards and of course getting the information where we stand.
