So I have about 125k points now and I can convert my iron man medals into another 30k. Whats the best option spendwise. Do I cash in the $500 B/C bonus or go for $1k or shud I grind it out and aim for the $5k. Trying to find the most balanced approach and I'm torn between cashing in now and boosting my 'roll and wading on for the long-term. FWIW currently playing NL100

Depending on how long it takes I would save up for a bigger bonus, 500dollar dosnt sound as much money when playing NL100..thats how I would reason in your position anyways :)

Yeah thats not a bad thinking. I'm now thinking that I'll approach it by considering a move to NL200. So I'll cash in when I reach 50% of a 20xBI for NL200 i.e. $2k bonus. No real scientific reason I suppose but it'll give me a nice boost for when I want to take a shot

Its crazy, you get 1 point when u pay 0.1$.

so 125000points= $12500 paid in rake. Assuming u get rakeback(27% is $3375). So total rake paid for 125000 points is 12500-3375=$9125. And what u get for the points is a mere $500.
But as the other guy sadi wait for the bigger bonus and gud luck at the tables.

 I got angry one day, seeing thousands of points sitting in my account and their worth=fok all.:)

Your Net Earned Rake is reduced by approximately $0.005 for every Full Tilt Point you spend.
Any prize you take is paid by your rakeback, so if you spend 125k points, they will withdraw $625 from your rakeback.
EV- , so now you know the rest.

this doesnt not sound right. Dont you only get 27% back of your net earned back as rake back? so you get $500 but you lose 27% of $625 = +ev

Ye, you might be right. Thanks for correction.
Still it's not as it may seem. Instead of $500 you will get 500$-27% of $625.
I just don't think it is a good idea to exchange all the points for such an amount atm.
