Villain is a 54/8 fish with 1.4 hands over 30 hands.

In this case we hit the gin card on the river and our play is simple but if i wansnt an 8 I was anyway planning on calling his bet pretty much on any river except an A or 5 probably.

Villain was faced with much aggression and folded a ton in the past hands and I was expecting him to spazz out in some hand and this looked like the perfect spot for him to go crazy. Was I lucky or did I read the situation well?

he has their just air a lot of times, so I'd also call him down.
If you don't want to face potsize bet maybe on scare river card you can always raise turn yourself to 11$ and take your free showdown
