[NL2-NL10] NL5 - What's with the min bets?

I would have c/f the turn and river, but the $0.05 min bets weren't enough to get me to fold. I didn't know if BB usually plays that way, or what to tell from these min bets.

Hand converted with online hand converter:

      Play hand

      $0.02/$0.05 No-Limit Hold'em (5 handed)

      Known players:
      BU (Hero):

Preflop: Hero is BU with 7, 7.
MP3 raises to $0.15, CO folds, Hero calls $0.15, SB folds, BB calls $0.10.

      Flop: ($0.47) 8, 8, 5 (3 players)
BB bets $0.15, MP3 calls $0.15, Hero raises to $0.70, BB calls $0.55, MP3 folds.

      Turn: ($2.02) T (2 players)
BB bets $0.05, Hero calls $0.05.

      River: ($2.12) 2 (2 players)
BB bets $0.05, Hero calls $0.05.

      Final Pot: $2.22.

      Results follow:

Hero shows two pairs, eights and sevens(7c 7h).
BB shows a pair of eights(Ac Qh).

Hero wins with two pairs, eights and sevens(7c 7h).

      Hello StaringAtGoats,

I am not even really big fan of raising on flop for the reason what's your plan if he 3bets you? Do you really plan to go broke there? I'd rather just Call him and reevaluate on further streets. And turn and river are fine.

      Best regards.
