By arranging for me to lose in this sordid fashion, William Hill are just discouraging me from playing poker any more and making sure that I'll never deposit on their site. They are idiots.

Once my free starting capital runs out, I'll be saying goodbye to online poker forever.

I get the feeling you haven't played much poker in your life.

Once you have played a few thousand hands you may regret posting this.

Or maybe have a laff about it..........

      Hope it's the latter!

I play more hands than that in a session of a few hours.

If you can't take the odd bad beat, you're in the wrong game, old mate!

Wait until you get out tripped, or out boated a few times.

I tried simplifying my approach by playing two tables instead of four and keeping the HUD turned off. To my surprise, I was able to identify the guy immediately to my left as a calling station without needing to use the HUD. I lost 18 cents to him but made 31 cents from him.

Overall I played about 180 hands and made about 30-40 cents. I'm going to try this slimmed-down approach for a couple of thousand hands and see whether it works.

There was one potential mistake hand I've posted in the hand evaluation forum. Hopefully veriz will have something to say about it.

In the meantime, the strategy and didactics basic articles have been helpful. I thought I was studying hard, but apparently not hard enough.

Be happy that he didn't min-raise, you would have lost double that.

newsflash: william hill is a multimillion dollar corporation, they do not care about potentially rigging your 2nl game.

moreover, you played the hand way worse than he did. what are you expecting to call the river that's worse after he calls your flop bet? are you bluffing or valuebetting?

looks like he slow played for value on the turn followed by a value bluff on the river.........
