      Hello, community members!

I recently started to play at PokerStars, before I was playing at Full Tilt and then I got 27% rake back from PokerStrategy, now I'm wondering could anyone suggest any site that I could join to get some rakeback on PokerStars too? ;)

      Best regards,

      Valts R.

not sure where you got this from but it's probably outdated. they updated the site and now it shows the equilevant rakeback you get at every VIP level.

      http://www.pokerstars.com/vip/tiers/

basically platinum star is equal/ alittle worse then FTP rakeback.. so your really better off sticking to ftp. Unless your supernova. Or join some other site.. the rake does add up over time and pokerstars is one of the toughest poker site online. Then again they do have most players, excellent software, good customer support and decent rake.

You didn't mention that at microstakes at least, FTP are raking $0.01 in every $0.15, and Stars are raking $0.01 in every $0.20. So you are getting a higher percentage of the rake back, but you're paying 33% more rake in the first place. (Based on a $3 pot where at Stars the rake is $0.15 and at FTP rake is $0.20)

Maybe my math is completely wrong here but it looks liek the numbers come out pretty close to even?

Edit: You can also buy cash rewards for FPP's and I think the Stars calculations only factor in VPP's but I'm not sure. Would be good if someone who could actually count properly had a look at the numbers. Looks like it wouldnt take much time to calculate accurately.

Indeed, rake is higher in FT at microstakes.
However, you get 27% rakeback against 15% in pokerstars (don't count on being goldstar+ if you play microstakes), so it's almost the same. Chose whether you like most.

I made Silverstar playing 2c/5c 6-max without too much trouble. I wouldn't expect goldstar at micros. At silver star you are at base equivalent of 19% (increasing to max of 21%).So you're getting a lower percentage of Rakeback from a smaller pool of Rake.

Again my math isn't particularly good but i calculate it like this.

When you rake $100 at fulltilt, you will get 27%. Total saving of $27. Simple!

Whilst raking $100 at FT, you'd only rake $75 at Stars for the exact same pot sizes, since the rake at Stars is only 3/4 the rake of FT. So you've already got $25 in your pocket that you never had at Fulltilt + you get equivalent of ~20% rakeback on the $75 you paid, which is ~$15 meaning a total saving of $40.

Its possible i'm missing a key fact here. Anyone know what that might be?

This is a very interesting topic about Rakeback at the micro's.

Momentarily I play at PP where I get 5% rakeback and they count 10% rake/pot. This absolutely seems ridiculous against the rakeback system of Stars and FTP.

      For $100 rake at Party I get back 5% = 5$

      Playing these hands at Pokerstars would have paid $50 rake (5%/pot) and ~20% rakeback = 50 + 10 = 60$

      At FTP I would have paid $66 rake (6.66%/pot) and 27% rakeback = 34 + 18 = $52

      I feel screwed! X(

Can anyone confirm this is true?

From a quick look, PP's rake is 5%($0.01 in every $0.20). which is the same rake as Stars.
Remember that at Stars it is not ACTUALLY Rakeback, but equivalent in VIP rewards etc. I don't know what PP's reward system is like but on a quick look, it's topped up by cash rewards and bonuses. You'd need to work out more accurate numbers for them.

Where can I find the exact rake at party per limit (or of any other platform)? I've always thought it was 10% at the micro's. PP's reward system is the same as Stars, you can get cash but also tournament by-ins, bonuses, etc.

I'm actually getting 4% back in cash prizes at PP, which is almost nothing.

Nevermind I found it from PP, it's indeed 5%

Apparently rake at the micro's is the same as higher limits?

Isn't this unusual? I've always thought they raked more on the micro's..

It is way higher on the micros. That's because the cap (maximum) is different. Look at the maximums per limit, compare it in BB and it will make sense to you.

      Rake at PP

      Ok I get it now.

Actually according to my calculations it's not so bad at Party after all :P It's kind of the same as on FTP because they rake 6.67% at the micro's. Pokerstars is the king though.

People generally say you should only play at Stars if you put in volume at NL50/100+ but I think it's equal to, if not better than other sites for micros. There aren't many sites where you can table select quite so efficiently!
