Lets say you earn $900 from ironman per year. ($450 half year)

They get deducted from your MGR. Although its less RB its something. Whats the effective rakeback if you count the ironman bonus + the standard 27% rakeback?

      Hi Ragney

If you are talking about the mid year and end of year bonuses, although FT states that every bonuses are deducted from rakeback; From my experience these bonuses have not been deducted from rakeback till now. however you never know what will happen in the future :)

      Regards

I think I used to pay about $150 rake per month (rakeback was in total about $40) going for the silver iron man. Was playing about ~15k hands per month.

      So for half year:
      Rake paid -- $900
      Rake back 27% -- $243
      Iron man bonus -- $300
      Effective rakeback = $543 / $900 = 60.33%

Now if you play more actively there... Lets say 60k hands a month!
      Rake paid -- $900*4 = $3600
      Rake back 27% -- $243*4 = $972
Iron man bonus -- $450 (gold instead silver)
      Effective rakeback = $1422 / $3600 = 39.50%

      Am I calculating this correctly?

So on Stars you need at least a supernova 200k to have more than 40% rakeback.

I think it's about right. The less you play, the bigger the percentage of RB with Iron Man and other bonuses is. But ofc, if you play more, the sum of cash getting into your account is bigger. On Stars, the more you play, the higher % you get back.

Guess its time to move back to ftp :f_biggrin:

Platinum only gives about 30% rakeback on Stars. Next year I go for supernova on Stars I guess

if you play 500+ FTP / day you wont have 40% RB on FT.

Yeah I already did some calc actually. The rake on FTP is higher so a small part yet has to be reduced to match Stars's lower rake etc. So the more you play on FT, the less RB :f_confused:

To add things up: Its really worth the iron man silver if you want some very high rakeback. Inlcuding the medals you get and FTP points I think you can easily hit 70%. This is very good for any micro players playing NL10 to NL25 who needs some nice bankroll.

Play 12-15 tables NL10 daily for 15-20 mins and you got about almost $600 rakeback every half year :)

      Really? :baby:

      60%? thats quite amazing!!
cuz i think i do pay this much rake a month but only play 7-8 days a month so im missing out on a lot of money

can someone confirm this is correct?

Yes but to clear the iron man you need to play more, so in the end you'll be paying more rake but only get 27% back.

To clear the $300 you need to generate $600 rake, since you need 6000 FTP for every $300.

So for half year ~15k/month hands:
      Rake paid -- $900 + $600 (clearing iron man) = $1500
      Rake back 27% -- $405 (1500x0.27)
      Iron man bonus -- $300
      Effective rakeback = $705 / $1500 = 47%

Iron man medals, FT points are not included in the rakeback. Meh its decent'ish. IMO supernova > this.

You need ironman for this to work. No ironman = no extra rakeback. Ironman requires you to play at least 15 of the 30 days per month

      21. Confirm the mid-year bonus from Jan-Jun 2011 pls? Seriously, you should ADVERTISE this stuff in advance, and not make it a magical bonus that appears out of nowhere.

      - Confirmed. It'll be there. I believe we'll also be promoting it earlier this time around, although I'm not sure exactly when.

Mid-Year and End-of-Year have been around a lot, I don't think they are gonna stop them soon. Just get Iron Man level each month and you have EZ MONEYZ!

Excuse me, I'm new to FT and I haven't seen an info about extra rakeback while being an ironman. Could you please dscribe it in few sentences please. Moreover, if I haven't deposited(only pokerstrategy 50 bonus), will I get a rakeback while being an ironman?

The mid-year bonus is based on your ironman-status between january-june. So if you reach ironman in april, may & june, your mid-year bonus will be 300$

Also, whats the most effective spending of the medals?
One last thing, when I say in january had silver and maintained it to April, and moved up to gold at May, how much medals I will get per month?

Ironman doesn't directly increase your rakeback... You earn medals wich you can than exchange for bonuses, wich result in more money from rake payed.

@Tsukk: if you were silver for 4 months and gold 1 month (in the row) i think you'll get 300 medals alltogether - 1st month silver 40, 2nd and 3rd month 50 each, 4th month 60, and 5th month 100 (i think it counts as consecutive months if you mantain same or higher level of ironman).
