      Hallo :)
      My name is Nikolay,
I was introduced to poker a little less than year ago,
and after some donking/spewing/tilting I lost my
      starting capital from PS.com.
      Fortunately this didnt disencourage me,
and I deposited a 100$ so I can start grinding the tables again.
I started working much harder towards improving my game and it pays off so far :) ) I will try to update this blog regularly, and hopefully the notes will be ones of progress :s_biggrin:

Saying you're an ex-chessplayer is like saying you're an ex-alcoholic. No such thing imo.

      Good luck!

Haha you are correct - I spend valuable grinding time to return to the online chess tables from time to time :)

So i thought that it wouldn't hurt to put some goals in mind:

      Short-term:
      - expand playing volume - grind at least 150 tourneys a week
      - post some more hands in the evaluation forum - at least 4-5
      problematic spots each day
      - get some coaching to help plug the many leaks I have :f_biggrin:

      Long terms:
-work on mindset - dealing with tilt and downswings
-move ip in stakes - move up to 6+50 by the end of April/
move up to 11+1 by the end of may
-gradually increase multitabling to two sets of 4(I am currently playing 5 tables) by adding one table at a time
      -STOP being a fish :)

Don't count on moving up that fast with that volume. Variance can hit you hard.
Focus on learning. It takes time. Your game needs to be sharp when you get to real money stakes ($24+).

Thanks, I know it's the nicer side of the variance :f_biggrin: ,
but still I love when the green and red EV lines pop up :)

6.50$ treats me nice so far, although I do the limit with kind of light bankroll
      (currently 350$)

Wow, the ex-chess player thing really draws a crowd. Before reading this I thought I was one too because I quit the tournament scene, then I remembered I still play chess online every day... In any case, good luck with your poker endeavours, and hopefully you'll soon become even better at this game than you were at chess.

Well I play almost everyday online too - I just really don't perceive
a 3 min game to be the same as 1.30hrs+30sec per move as the same thing :)
Thanks for the wishes - good luck to you too :s_grin:

lol I can't even seem to get over 1700 these days and your weak :D . But yeah there is no money in chess ^^

Good luck with improving your SnG game and if your intrested in discussing strategy or sweat sessions you should check out the micro SnG study group on skype SnG studygroup

about the bankroll it is indeed a bit small I would not play these with less then 100 bi because the swings can be brutal in these games but if you have no problem with moving down limits when you have a downswing I geuss it is np ;)

Well I did sign up to the SNG study group - the problem is that the virtual skype that I use on work(imo.im) crashes from the many messages in the chat. My skype is niikolay.iliev9 - if you or anyone else is interested I can add you.

By the way - how do you guys deal with one outers - I am trying to reach the needed poker mindset but this stuff tilts me like hell...
