      0.05/0.10 No-Limit Hold'em (9 handed)
Hand recorder used for this poker hand: Texas Grabem 1.9 by www.pokerstrategy.com.

Preflop: Hero is BB with A:spade: , K:heart:
4 folds, MP3 calls $0.10, CO folds, BU calls $0.10, SB calls $0.05, Hero raises to $0.50, MP3 calls $0.40, BU calls $0.40, SB folds.

      Flop: ($1.60) 2:diamond: , K:club: , 5:heart: (3 players)
      Hero bets $1, 2 folds.

      Final Pot: $2.60

I sometimes feel I scare away people from the pot with bets on boards that no one can really call with unless they have a set ? Should I have checked and waited for some action ?

      no

You want money in the pot and dont want to be outdrawn.
if you start checking your hand if you hit
you cant bet if you missed, because people will find out.

You won 11 Big blinds in this pot - that's not bad. You don't want to play really big pots with TPTK as you are most likely behind if someone plays for stacks. General advice: don't slowplay top pairs unless you have a pretty good read on your opponents.
