Leak or just variance?

I was looking at my positional stats today.

After 16K hands, it looks like this:
      php:
Pos  Hands VP$IP   PFR Win %   Won  WTSD
      BN    2187  26.3  17.9  14.8   6.0  32.3
      1     2119  21.4  14.6  12.5   2.7  30.3
      2     2052  17.3  10.2   9.6   7.6  34.0
      3     2049  15.6   8.4   7.9   6.2  38.8
      4     1900  12.3   6.5   6.3  -6.5  34.3
      5     1497  12.4   7.0   6.1   2.5  31.7
      6      738  12.9   7.1   7.3   5.7  34.3
      BB    2116  14.5   6.1  23.7 -11.9  27.5
      SB    2105  32.3  16.1  16.1  -5.1  31.0

Sorry, I could not find another way to make a nice table.

The question is, why such a huge reversal in MP1?
I looked over all of the big losing hands, and there only 3 losing all-ins in there.

      Any insights?
I'm surprised that the win % from the blinds is so high. I was expecting it to be way lower.

Is this just variance due to small sample size?

      How do other people's compare?

You are probably playing too many raised pots out of position and treating MP1 the same as other middle position spots. Theoretically your range of opening hands should go smoothly up as your position gets better, but you have a bit of a flat spot there in early and middle position.

Have you watched all of Crushing NL50 yet?

I went through all of the big losers hand-by-hand, and only a few of them were dodgy plays. Most were things like JJ lost to AQ flopping an A etc, then slow playing me.

I also discovered I'm a sucker for river bets after checked turns.
      Hmmmmm.

I also overplayed AQo at least twice, and AK more than twice.

I did not go too far, but I wonder if some of the hands I folded, I folded too soon, which is another type of leak -- money I could have won but didn't.

Anyway, thanks for the tip about crushing NL50. I'll have a read.

      Hy,

      1=co???
If so then seems nice exept sb, you play WAY to loose sb, its huge leak in long run.
You play ALL hands OOP in this position, you need really strong range, even your grandpa can make money against you in BB. :f_biggrin:
