Preflop: Hero is SB with A, J.
2 folds, CO calls €0.05, BU folds, Hero raises to €0.20, BB folds, CO calls €0.15.

      Flop: (€0.45) 9, T, 6 (2 players)
Hero bets €0.32, CO calls €0.32.

      Turn: (€1.09) J (2 players)
Hero bets €0.78, CO calls €0.78.

      River: (€2.65) 8 (2 players)
Hero bets €0.65, CO calls €0.65.

      Final Pot: €3.95.

      Results follow:

CO shows a straight, queen high(Td Qd).
Hero shows a pair of jacks(As Jh).

CO wins with a straight, queen high(Td Qd).

      Flop
I contibet he calls. I figure he has top pair/flushdraw.

      Turn
I hit top pair, his flush doesn't hit. I bet 3/4.

      River
Now only a Queen is needed to complete a straight.. I decide to bet, because I would've check/called anyway

Am I supposed to have the discipline to check-fold on the river after I invested 3/4 of my stack in the hand?

      Thank you,
      Mircea

      Hello M1rCea,

Preflop: I would raise it even bigger here for 1 limper and as well being OOP, ~$0,30.
Postflop: I would rather just Check it on river since I don't really see much value there being anyways. A lot of made hands completed, a lot of 2pairs are possible. Rather very thin value. And rather even would Check/Fold it against some kind of bigger bet.

      Best regards.
