      Known players:

Preflop: Hero is CO with 8, 8.
3 folds, Hero raises to €1.50, BU calls €1.50, 2 folds, BB folds.

      Flop: (€3.75) 9, 4, 9 (2 players)
Hero bets €2.75, BU calls €2.75.

      Turn: (€9.25) 4 (2 players)
Hero checks, BU bets €5.50, Hero calls €5.50.

Hero checks, BU bets €14.50, Hero calls €14.50.

imo he's always bluffing here. JJ+ would 3bet, 9x isn't in his range anyway. so it's almost always a PP I beat

he can have there smt , like 9Ts, 98s, but I agree your 88 is too good to c/f on the turn and I would likely also call him down on the river, since flushdraw missed and 6 is blank

      Hello vmarqui,

Don't really like the Check/Call turn and river at all. We just forcing him to make any kind of dumb moves and then we have to guess, is he bluffing, is he doing it for value or whatsoever. Why don't you just Bet/Fold it on turn? And basically will get the all answer you want. As played I don't ever think that he is turning a lot of hands there into bluff, therefore I would Check/Fold the river as played. You mainly beat only bluff there and I don't really see what kind of bluffs he could have. :D

And why do you think that 9x ain't in his range? T9/A9s or whatsoever.

      Best regards.

villain is BU and you open from CO he could well have 89s, 9Ts , A9s or even 9Js tbh with the unlikely 99, and 44 that's still 30 combo that I would not discount from his range. I dont think he would bet with any over pair river as he got showdown value and will want to see showdown without risking a check raise.

So the question is does he bluff often enough to make the call profitable?

      last thing you do say:

      imo he's always bluffing here

In that case why not minraise him and get some more value?
