Hand converted with online PokerStrategy.com hand converter:

      Play hand

      $0.02/$0.05 No-Limit Hold'em (9 handed)

      Known players:
      BB (Hero):

Preflop: Hero is BB with 8, A.
      UTG1 folds, UTG2 calls $0.05, 3 folds, CO calls $0.05, 2 folds, Hero checks.

      Flop: ($0.17) A, A, J (3 players)
Hero bets $0.11, UTG2 calls $0.11, CO folds.

      Turn: ($0.39) Q (2 players)
      Hero bets $0.30, UTG2 calls $0.30.

      River: ($0.99) K (2 players)
Hero checks, UTG2 bets $0.99, Hero calls $0.99.

      Final Pot: $2.97.

      Opp's stats: VPIP 45/PFR 5/Aggression factor 1.9/WTSD 38 - sample size 50

Flop + Turn donk bet for value.

      At the river:
Given villain stats with high VPIP, low PFR and high WTSD, he may call to see the showdown with a wide range. However, Board comes a K, a possible straights could have completed.

Therefore, I decided to check/call because I think I'm ahead most of the time and no worst hand would call me if I bet here.

With his pot size bet on the river and given his low aggression factor, what would you do instead? is check/call here the best play? Would like to hear from your professional advice.

      Hello slashng,

Basically I'd rather bet myself, he will anyways not really bet with some pairs which might still pay us if we do bet ourselves. Therefore I'd bet the river like $0,50 myself. Usually when I plan to Check then with the plan to Check/Fold it. And he is a fish why do you think no worse will Call but then again you call a pot size bet.

      Best regards.
