So what's the best way to turn FTP into cash right now?

I'm sitting on a boatload, thought I'd satellite my points into tourney $ to get some cash to clear the current bonus. I can't even find FTP buyin steps tournaments right now. Did they cancel them? Can't really find any good satellites with points buyins. :f_frown:

I think I found a way. Turn FTP into step 2 tickets. Play for step 3 tickets. Play $26 tourneys. Hehe, the small problem is cashing in the $26 tourney(s) one reaches.

I found that buying ring game tickets was the easier way for me.

I recently bought 4 Step 1 tickets and can't believe how soft the games are.

      Now Im sitting on a step 6, 5 and 2 step 4s.

      Total value 640 + 216 + 75 + 75

Problem is now turning them into cash!

I've actually tried to contact ftp about this, to turn my tickets into tournament dollars. Sadly it wasn't possible, so i took some shots on higher limits.

at least turn them into tournament $$ and stick to BRM.
steps are indeed easy until step 3 because people earn it for free and play it as such (as if it were a freeroll), but after that point you start to bump into high stackers looking for a cheaper way to the WSOP.

Sorry to hijack the thread but when buying ring/tournament tickets with FTPs or entering tournaments with FTPs does your 27% rakeback take a hit?

Answer Found: Yes it does: $0.005 per FTP

Hm, I was convinced its 0.005 down from net rake, thus its only 0.27*0.005 deducted from rakeback effectively ... ?

effectively the value of the ticket is deducted for higher priced tickets it's less I think.

      Hi!

      I have 12000 FTP.
Should I buy 18 step1 tickets and try to fight my way to the top?
Or should I wait till I have 50000 FTP and buy 80 of them and then try?

      Whaha

      Thats a nice one

I am shit at BRM and not that much better at poker, but i am pretty good at turning fuck all into some playing dollars. Its a constant test against FTP because as i discover a new way of generating $ they are very quick to shut it down, the most recent one in fact was in the steps tournament, you could actually use your steps ticket to register for a tournament and then unregister, this would credit your account with TD's. This has now been stopped and you get your ticket back.

However, the only current definite way of turning FTP's into TD's which in my opinion is very difficult to stop is by purchasing a tournament ticket and registering for a cashout tournament and then cashout at the start. I have not tried ring game tickets btw.

In cashout tournaments you can cash out(I think) up to half your stack for the value it would have at buy-in.

So you buy a ticket, cash out half the value of the ticket and then supposedly play the rest?

AFAIK you can cash out everything but at half the value of purchasing it.
