      $0.02/$0.05 No-Limit Hold'em (6 handed)

      Known players:
      MP3 = ($1.45)
      CO = ($5.00)
      BU (Hero) = ($5.31)
      SB = ($5.28)
      BB = ($8.47)
      MP2 = ($4.61)

      Preflop: Hero is BU with 9 :diamond: , J :heart: .
      3 folds, Hero raises to $0.15, SB calls $0.13, BB folds.

      Flop: ($0.35) 9 :club: , 4 :club: , 8 :heart: (2 players)
      SB checks, Hero bets $0.22, SB calls $0.22.

      Turn: ($0.79) 7 :heart: (2 players)
      SB checks, Hero bets $0.50, SB calls $0.50.

      River: ($1.79) A :club: (2 players)
      SB checks, Hero checks.

      Final Pot: $1.79.

      Here, my question is simple: Despite the scare card, should I have bet the river? I'm thinking so, but not completely sure.

      Hello Salivanth,

      Nah, not really. Why to turn your hand into bluff and even the value-bet there is pretty close. He will anyways have hard time Calling with worse so therefore rather Check behind.

      Best regards.
