      Hero shows (Qh Qd)

Shockingly bad play by me on the river. I talked myself into calling on the basis of "showdown value", villain being less likely to have an A due to 2 on the board, his stack size, and a bunch of other far-too-clever-for-my-own-good stuff. If only I had asked myself what a 64/0/0.4 passive player would suddenly wake up and shove all-in with, I might have found a quick route to the right answer!

I guess bet flop a bit bigger for value, but cryingly check/fold turn and river after the A arrives?

      Hello member001,

Guess I'd either ship it on turn or just Check/Fold the river. Against passive opponents is the usual case that they are having the nuts when they are shipping. I don't think that he is doing that here with Jx or even weaker hands. Rather made hands like flushes and even Ax is possible.

      Best regards.
