Hand converted with online PokerStrategy.com hand converter:

      Play hand

      $0.1/$0.25 No-Limit Hold'em (5 handed)

      Known players:
      CO (Hero):

Preflop: Hero is CO with Q, 9.
MP3 folds, Hero raises to $0.85, 2 folds, BB calls $0.60.

      Flop: ($1.8) 8, 9, A (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $1.25, BB calls $1.25.

      Turn: ($4.3) 5 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $2.40, BB calls $2.40.

      River: ($9.1) 2 (2 players)
      BB checks, Hero checks.

      Final Pot: $9.1.

Villain-unknown.I bet turn for free showdown, because there are many cards that I dont want to see on the river and and that I will have to fold if he bets and finally because he could pay on the turn with SD such as J10/67.Is this line better than checking behind turn for pot control?

It is either your line that you took or checking back turn and then likely folding to strong river bet, since he shouldn´t bluff too often that spot
I would prefer betting turn 1/2 pot and then take my free showdown. This way he have to pay his draws to see next river card and even if you´re behind, you still have 5 outs to improve and get more value from Ax hands
