      Hello poker people,

I have returned.... after 2 years... I wanna do it all again :)
For those of you who do not know, I had a blog here once... a long long time ago in a galaxy far far away... and there I played NL50 SH and then just quit and disappeared into the darkness.

      Short intro:

My name is Christian Moersheim (pronounce my last name correctly and your good). I am 23 now... I still study, going into my final semester. I currently live in Singapore and mostly grew up in the Philippines (Purplefiz.... yes your welcome to comment :) ) My interests are biz consulting, poker, and girls.

So this is my restart. I put 200$ on FT yesterday (promptly loosing 4$ of course) to play NL 10 SH.

      My goals are simple:

In 1.5 month I will move up to NL20
In 4.5 month I will move up to NL50

I will view myself as a fish and relearn everything.

      So here are the rules:

      1. Tilt rule (for those who know me, this is the most important one):
Whenever I feel tilt coming up, I will sit out on all tables, and watch porn.... err I mean go for a walk... yeah... ;)

      2. Drunk rule:
I shall not play drunk. I shall not play drunk. I shall not play drunk.

      3. Learning:
I will watch videos again (lots and lots of vids), post hands until the hand judges hate me, and go over my HEM, oh and of course bother ppl on IRC

With that I am set..... I will post regularly again, so you guys can follow my progress or failure. I will not be putting in super high volume... just like whenever I can.

Oh and in real life I am doing some party/event promotion stuff.... so will post some party pics etc. as well (so everyone thinks I am baller and so that I can feel good about myself!!)

Thats all for now. Let the Poker Gods smile on me!!!

      Update:
Am 26 now and have a decent paying job..... skip till the end of this blog ;)

So played a small session at 2:30 am

I was not drunk, but tired from going out. I will add a new rule:
I will not play when I am tired.

I dropped my BR to 189$. I do not think I played badly, it just really did not go my way. Session was only like 40 minutes long anyway... then I thought I might drop dead if I do not sleep.

This hand brought it negativly. I cannot figure this out properly... the thing is I wanted to slow play a bit on the flop... and got punished obviously.

Hand converted with online PokerStrategy.com hand converter:

      Play hand

      $0.05/$0.1 No-Limit Hold'em (5 handed)

      Known players:
      SB:
      $9.26
      BB:
      $13.42
      MP3:
      $13.41
      CO (Hero):
      $10.35
      BU:
      $15.99

Preflop: Hero is CO with K, J.
MP3 folds, Hero raises to $0.35, BU folds, SB calls $0.30, BB folds.

      Flop: ($0.8) K, K, A (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $0.50, SB raises to $1.30, Hero calls $0.80.

      Turn: ($3.4) Q (2 players)
SB bets $3.40, Hero calls $3.40.

      River: ($10.2) 6 (2 players)
SB bets $4.21, Hero folds, SB gets uncalled bet back.

      Final Pot: $10.2.

Oh wells.... will play some more tonight I think. I wanna bring it back into the lovely positive.

about last hand: why not to re-raise to 4$? if he was fish then no need to slow play but as played i think he had Kx too.

Hmmm he can bet into me like that even if flush and straight draw complete? I don't see him doing river shove with Kx unless its KQ.

Or I am giving my opponents too much credit?

And yeah I misplayed the hand... re-raise on flop would be better.. thats what you get for playing while falling asleep I guess

Yeah the hand it self was strange but thats what you can expect from fish...often regulars give fish the range they see themselfes having in that spot. turn pot bet is usual thing you will see from fish who c-raised and his hand might be beat but he anyways wont fold his trips/set or whatever he had. I very rearly see c-raise from fish w flush darw unless in this spot it was JTs, sure he might have KQ or AK but his range is so wide like any Kx. As hand played i would use stats and reads to make descision.

Glad to be back... getting the hang of it better now.

Played another session and this one was quiet nice (except one of the last hand, where I lost AA vs KK grrr)

Made some kick ass moves, lots of nice floats, and nice raises to limpers.

My most kick ass hand of the session was this one:

      $0.05/$0.10 No Limit Holdem
      6 Players
      Hand Conversion Powered by weaktight.com

      Stacks:
      UTG imocheich ($8.37)
      UTG+1 Pafkata ($10.30)
      CO GRA1000 ($5)
      BTN allon963 ($7.89)
      SB Dragar ($14.05)
      BB Snuff Out ($18.60)

      Pre-Flop: ($0.15, 6 players) Dragar is SB 7:diamond: 7:spade:
imocheich calls $0.10, 2 folds, allon963 calls $0.10, Dragar calls $0.05, Snuff Out raises to $0.80, imocheich folds, allon963 folds, Dragar calls $0.70

      Flop: 9:heart: 5:spade: 3:spade: ($1.80, 2 players)
Dragar checks, Snuff Out bets $1, Dragar raises to $2.50, Snuff Out calls $1.50

      Turn: 8:spade: ($6.80, 2 players)
      Dragar checks, Snuff Out checks

      River: K:spade: ($6.80, 2 players)
Dragar bets $4, Snuff Out calls $4

      Final Pot: $14.80
      Dragar shows
      7:diamond: 7:spade:
      Snuff Out shows
      K:heart: Q:club:

      Dragar wins $13.82 (net +$6.52)

      Snuff Out lost $7.30
      imocheich lost $0.10
      allon963 lost $0.10

      To explain this play:
Pre-flop this opponent raises a lot, and 3-bets my iso-raises... hence just completing was fine, I did not want to raise vs the 2 fishes who had huge VPIP. So I sometimes just call in this spot.

Flop I do not think he must have hit this since his range is wide... I opt for c/r because I remember him folding at a similar spot vs an opponent. He calls.. and I am like hmmmm ok hmmm, lets see what turn brings.

Turn is not great for me... I cannot properly rep the flush with me c/r on flop.. so I am about done with the hand as I don't want to continue anymore.. and I check... ahhhh he checks too wooot!!!

River I am turning my hand into a bluff on purpose... I am assuming he knows my flop c/r was a bluff by now since he is not a bad player.. so I bet into him trying to rep the A of spades or Q of spades.... he tanks and tanks and calls me super light.... insta quiting the table after :D

      Anyways the graph for today:

Red line is in check, other lines good as well...... just stupid ass AA vs KK bloody crap hand messing up my good session grrrrrrr

      Hello poker people,

Played a 3 hour decision today... this one was not as smooth sailing as yesterday. Some tough spots, and some bad wrongly timed buffs by me with me doing the wrong decision. Right at the start this happened:

      $0.05/$0.10 No Limit Holdem
      6 Players
      Hand Conversion Powered by weaktight.com

      Stacks:
      UTG Dragar ($10)
      UTG+1 Willy Hirth ($10)
      CO NogSM ($10)
      BTN rwheat ($18.41)
      SB xxxmark00 ($10)
      BB Joddle ($17.13)

      Pre-Flop: ($0.15, 6 players) Dragar is UTG A:heart: K:club:
Dragar raises to $0.35, 4 folds, Joddle calls $0.25

      Flop: K:diamond: A:club: 10:club: ($0.75, 2 players)
Joddle checks, Dragar bets $0.55, Joddle calls $0.55

      Turn: 9:heart: ($1.85, 2 players)
Joddle checks, Dragar bets $1.50, Joddle calls $1.50

      River: 9:club: ($4.85, 2 players)
Joddle bets $14.73, Dragar calls $7.60

      Final Pot: $27.18
      Joddle shows
      J:diamond: 9:diamond:
      Dragar shows
      A:heart: K:club:

      Joddle wins $25.85 (net +$8.72)

      Dragar lost $10

The only reason I call river is because I am not putting him on flush... and straight should have raised turn... so yeah tough spot... my timer run down, press call.. and see the bad news.

Then I ran AQ into AK after calling a 3-bet pre-flop and flop hitting A...

      Oh and this:

Liloj checks, Dragar bets $0.40, Liloj raises to $1.20, Dragar calls $0.80

      Turn: 7:spade: ($3, 2 players)
Liloj bets $2.20, Dragar raises to $5.50, Liloj calls $3.30

      River: 9:diamond: ($14, 2 players)
Liloj bets $3, Dragar calls $3

      Final Pot: $20
      Liloj shows
      Q:spade: Q:club:
      Dragar shows
      9:heart: 7:club:

      Dragar wins $18.67 (net +$8.67)

      Liloj lost $10

Bit of reasoning for this play:
On a previous hand he raise sb to me and c/r me on the flop with complete bluff. I called him with K high since I was drawing and also called with K high on his turn barrel because I had even more outs then. I took it down after c/c river... and he thought I am a fish :)
Now for this hand I know he has me beat on flop, I give him atleast Tx or better. I am calling because I know he can't fold after anymore cause of our previous hand.... and then obviously turn card was lovely :)

That is all for now I guess..

      Hello poker people,

      Today's session was terrible....

I think I tilted... called an all-in with TT pre-flop and stacked of with QJ only having a J top pair lol. At the end I started calling the river lightly like all the time and lost couple of small pots.

By the way what trigged the tilt was at the beginning.
I hit a set of 4s on a 45A board.... I check, villain bets, I c/r, he calls.... then everything freezes..... connection lost..... when it came back I had auto-folded the hand.... :(

Of course also had AA cracked twice.. so nice.

      jokeradato wins $24.69 (net +$11.54)

      Dragar lost $13.15

      WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY :(

Down 3.5 BI in this session. Graph:

(Btw still got a sweet red line lol)

So sick that I have to tilt of 20$ in this..... think this is one of my major leaks still... wasting money every session. Maybe still goto get used to the coolers again.

I can't afford to do this... bloody break-even only because of that.. so annoying.

      hey i have some thoughts

AK hand river is clear fold, I think your line of thinking needs to be what bluffs does he have (next to none), how often would he even bluff them? (if he even has any..) and what value hands do i beat? (not rly any tht shove river) so u have a bluff catcher in a spot where he rarely has bluffs.

66 hand, ur not c/r'ing the turn so why not lead u miss value here imo.

33 hand not really sure why u chkbk the turn, its a sick assumption to think he OOP floats no equity and if he has equity we may aswell bet, also he often picks up equity on this turn.

      poker is fun:

KK vs AA like twice atleast
      Set over set
      Run bad

Mistakes.... oh man... call people off like a donkey...

don't know what to do now...

      Hello poker people,

      It's official... I am a fish

      Todays session:

Had so much fun getting all my c-bets raised and crap like that... or go to showdown with villain holding bottom pair.

Also decided to call with Q high straight vs KQ high straight... obv he had it.. but I had to call pot size bet just to be sure.

What other BS did I do.... oh yeah.. bluff at 4 club board... obv villain had the ace of clubs and snap calls...

Then decided to play small and med stacks.. well for stacks... ran TT into JJ and JJ into QQ doing that... good game

      Yes..

So since I lost 9BI in 2 days... I will try to step it up a bit and focus on loosing the last 14BI in the next 2 days.

      EDIT:
I have relaxed... I guess will study some videos regarding c-betting, may be doing it wrong vs loose players.
14BI still plenty... won't move down stakes from NL10, rather go broke.
This weekend shall decide my fate :D

      Still fishy

I think my concentration fades or something.

Went down in the end because ran AK into AQ pre-flop all in (thats bad in my world)
Tried to get QQ to fold on AA9 board
Hit set on turn while my opponent drew for gutshot..which he hit with my set.

      I will play shorter sessions...
