Villian is 15/12/1 agg over 40 hands.

To start, is just a call here ok? Playing IP with good equity against this opening range?

His raise call on the flop tells me he has a pretty strong hand, maybe a draw with TP, set, or middle pair.

I bet turn hoping for a free showdown which I get.

The K improves his equity though, since he could now have hit 2 pair, straight.

He's passive though, so could check a strong hand.

      Was this the best line?

Raise, bet turn for free showdown, check behind?

      Thanks!

      Hello Jim4rdo,

Preflop: Yeah, Calling here is totally fine.
Postflop: Although I am not really big fan of raising here. The problem is what if he 3bets you? What's your plan?

But as played seems to be fine, he wont Call you on river anyway with worse.

      Best regards.
