      Hello everybody ,

      My name is Valy i live in Romania and i`m 26 years old.I played poker the last two years just for recreational purpose. I`ve won a bit here and lost a bit there , mostly played mtt and sng on pokerstars. In December 2010 my grandma died :( and i had to withdraw a very big part of my bankroll . After december i was on a roller coaster and went downhill so i took a brake.On the Romanian community , i`ve started playing staked with some decent results , nothing big but for me every $ counts . Recently i decided to start and learn the basics of cash games .

      Because i`m working 8hours/day , i can`t play too many hours .So basically i can play between 3- 6 hours on weekdays and between 6 and 8 hours on weekend.

      I`ve started playing 5 day`s ago and unfortunately i managed to play only 18 hours tottaly. So there is a 3 hours average and 3,726 hands (i know the numbers are not great ).

      At the beginning i would try to play between 500 > 1000 hands per day in weekdays and about 1500 > 2500 on weekends.

      I am open to any advice or criticisms about the content of this blog or about my game .

      I'll start with :

      Platform : Pokerstars
      Game & Limit : NL2 FR
      Strategy : MSS
      Bankroll : 29$

      My goals for this month are :

      :diamond: Strategy : read all articles about MSS strategy from beginner to silver status

      :diamond: Improvements: with your help to identify gaps in my game

      :diamond: Total Hands played : 20 k based on an average of 800 hands/day based on 25 days of play

      :diamond: BankRoll : at least 50$ so i can move to NL5

      Happy First day for my blog :) .

      As I said I'll post a graphic at the end of each session . Today i`ve played 600+ hands and ended up 2,70$ in profit . I am happy that I finished the session with a profit, but unfortunately i`m not satisfied with the number of hands played.

      I found an interesting hand that i think i didnt played it very well. I`ve managed to take $0,53 but i have some questions about it . At first it seems a very good and easy to play hand , but in this situation my purpose is to take all my oponent money and i didn`t managed to do that.

      1. Is my pre-flop raise bad ?

      2. Another bet on the turn was better instead of checking ?

      3. And on the river is better to check , hoping the opponent will attempt a bluff ?

      I woke up this morning happy that this is the last day of the week and finally comes the weekend so i can play more poker.Unfortunately i have to go to work tomorrow for overtime . But , i waited the day to end and hurry up home so i can play at least 1k hands . I just end up the session and for my surprise it was a very good one

      Poker gods are with me this day`s and all i have to say is that i`m very happy :) .So here is today review :

      And now i will try to explain this hand .

      The guy in SB had a 74/5/ stats (vpip/pfr) so in my opinion a very loose and fishy player) .

      Pre-flop action : the raise was standard in my opinion

      Flop action : the CC was also standard but i got a very big info about SB hands. On my CC he snaped called so in my opinion he was on a straight draw.

      Turn : the same snap call as on the flop so now I was convinced that he is drawing

      River : bang the classic bluff on the river when you miss the draw :)

      Notice that the SB left behind only 0,02 $ :) )
