I'm taking a flyer on the 4K guaranteed rush rebuy $1+0.10 tourney that starts in about 10 minutes. I've never played rush poker before so I don't know whether there's any point in asking people to rail me.

People have said that rush is really fishy, so I'm figuring solid BSS should enable me to go deep. I'll post updates here at every break until I'm out.

I must have had a million hole cards in the first 24 minutes but have seen only about five flops, three of them in big blind. I bought in and rebought once at the start to 3K and am now at about 3.5K at first break. The big hand was QQ when I let an opponent with 44 bet himself silly until he finally wised up and checked on the river.

Got donked, rebought, got beaten QQ vs KK. Decided not to rebuy again. Invested $4 and have nothing to show for it, not even making it to addon break.

My HEM says that, in about half an hour, I saw 287 sets of hole cards. Yes, it's fun, but my first bad experience with it makes me very unlikely ever to try it again.

If you want to check out some small rush tournaments try the rush on demand, the fields aren't too large and then run constantly.

those tourneys have 4k+ runners, meaning that the variance is pretty huge

How does rush on demand work?

starts when 36 people reg, then there is late reg for another 15 minutes, it is multi entry, has about 250-600 entrants and is very highly +ev

I might give it a try. Thanks! :) I believe I've seen those tournaments at the 1+10, 2+20 and 3+30 levels and just didn't know what they were called.
