      Can't pass this:

Have uninstalled and installed again. Twice.

      No firewall.

No messages come. Just that screen stays on forever, with the cards moving, until I cancel.

Of course it has worked several times before.

      Ideas?

Time and time again I feel like not even making the initial deposit to get rakeback+1st bonus in this platform. They keep screwing up and their support is non-existent.

      Hi luizsilveira,

I have had this on the odd occasion in the past, but not for quite some time.

I used to find that leaving it for half an hour or so seemed to fix the problem, other than that I'm afraid a complete techno-noob when it comes to software issues and so maybe another member can help suggesting things you could try :(

      Best regards,

Hi, Thazar. I didn't doubt it was my end; I thought if it was Full Tilt there would be other posts around already ;)

Thanks for the link. The problem with their support is often they don't reply, or do it after several days.

Superb, I did get fast support. It solved nothing but hey, they did answer all my emails pretty fast:

After some initial emails and a tracert:
      Hello Luiz,

      Thank you for your email.

Unfortunately we do not support the use of proxy servers in conjunction with Full Tilt Poker at this time.

The reason for this is that it opens up a wealth of new problems when using them such as performance and security issues. When using a free open proxy on the internet, please realize that all of your information is being sent through this intermediary, which may or may not be safe.

Also, depending on where the proxy server is, your connection could take twice as long or more to reach us also depending on the server's usage by other users, as well as their connection strength.
It is because of this that we highly recommend against using proxy servers at Full Tilt Poker.

Rest assured that if you wish to remain anonymous, and your connection secured, we have taken this into account in the creation of our client and communications protocols, as we use the same port used for secure online banking (Secure Socket Layer port 443) which is a standard for secure communication over the internet.

I'm sorry I'm unable to help you with setting up a proxy connection, but hope that this information clarifies a few things about the way proxies can interact with us and other services which may be bandwidth intensive.

If however you must connect through a gateway from your workplace, please contact your network administrator for assistance.

If you need any further help or have any further questions, please let us know, and best of luck on the tables.

      Regards,

      My reply:
      Hi,

Thanks for your thorough answer but I hardly have any idea on what you are talking about. I have a vague idea of what a proxy might be but never even thought about using one.

I live in university accommodations and use the internet service provided by the university - which happens to be keycom. That's all.Just as every student living in dorms here in Edinburgh - and there are thousands, hundreds on my building only.

And I've been using Full Tilt since last year, only yesterday this problem has arisen. I have no difficulties with any other sites whatsoever, including all the main poker platforms.

And their final hand washing statement:
      Hello Luiz,

Thank you for emailing Full Tilt Poker Support.

As previously stated, you would need to contact the administrator of the university network to continue troubleshooting.

Also, you may try using alternative connection to connect to Full Tilt Poker servers.

If there's anything else we can help you with, please let us know. We're always here to help.

      Regards,

Well. As a(n almost) complete computer ignorant, I still don't get why I can access all sites I want, including all other poker sites, but not FT - and yet they say this is not their problem. On top of that, I can't understand why I could access FT until last night and now I can't anymore.

Maybe I am indeed to ignorant for that but it truly does not make sense to me.

hmm it is very possible that your accommodation is behind a proxy and they might filter certain sites. At times they might change their rules and they might have blocked FT. That is just a possibility.

      Best regards

I agree it is, but that wouldn't explain why full tilt and not any other site at all, including all poker platforms.

      It's just quite weird.

      No change whatsoever.

And everything else keeps working 100% with my internet. It's just FT.

Yes, Universities and work places in general often block anything remotely related to gambling etc.

In the longer run, might pay to sign up to a mobile broadband connection so you always have your own connection.

Performance of these can however be extremely slow at times, would recommend lots of research before signing into a deal.

      Best regards,

Guys, I do understand your point but I don't think that's the case at all.

Firstly, all other sites work - poker related or not. Nothing at all is blocked.

Secondly, I am NOT in an university network. I live in university accommodations, which has an INDEPENDENT internet provider (keycom). The internet has nothing to do with the university; even my access code/password were all dealt with keycom itself and are NOT the same I use to log in when I'm at the university and not at home. I can't even access some university resources from home since I'm not logged directly into the uni network!

And even if I were, I already played poker while AT the university, logged into the university network (for 20 min. or so, during lunch breaks and whatnot). They are two very different networks, but neither of them have anything blocked at all.

well, I never tried porn at the uni's network actually :D But poker works fine, I assure.

      lol at spoiler.

Ahh ok, sorry was just a thought. I'll have a quick look around to see if I can find anything else out for you, but at this stage I'm really not quite sure what to suggest :(

Nah, don't be sorry. It was a very good guess and I was probably not clear on my previous posts.

I'm actually quite glad you guys are brainstorming on it, thanks a lot for that :)

If I put my tracert here, would that help? Is there any privacy/security risks on publishing the tracert data?

And yet after three days it suddenly just works again by its own. Go figure.

Hopefully it will stay like that. But I won't do any investment soon enough, before I'm certain it will be stable...
