Hand converted with online PokerStrategy.com hand converter:

      Play hand

      $0.01/$0.02 No-Limit Hold'em (9 handed)

      Known players:
      CO:
      $5.00
      BU:
      $0.77
      SB:
      $1.98
      BB:
      $4.44
      UTG1:
      $1.05
      UTG2 (Hero):
      $1.00
      MP1:
      $1.58
      MP2:
      $1.02
      MP3:
      $2.76

      Preflop: Hero is UTG2 with J, J.
UTG1 folds, Hero raises to $0.06, 6 folds, BB calls $0.04.

      Flop: ($0.13) 4, 8, 3 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $0.11, BB calls $0.11.

      Turn: ($0.35) 3 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $0.23, BB calls $0.23.

      River: ($0.81) 8 (2 players)
BB bets $0.60, Hero calls $0.60(All-In).

      Final Pot: $2.01.

      Results follow:

Hero shows two pairs, jacks and eights(Jd Jc).
BB shows a full-house, eights full of threes(8d Kd).

BB wins with a full-house, eights full of threes(8d Kd).

I start thinking calling from BB gives him looser range like 66+, AT+

This hand really pissed me off a bit; when villain bets on river I consider that he has A8s but I had trouble accepting that he would call flop cbet with this. On the flop I remove possibility of low PP and keep possibility of over cards or over pair TT+ My plan after the turn was to check river. The board is also dry so I did'nt think he's drawing. I thought maybe over cards of spades and this is why he calls turn bet?

I think maybe I should have made a bigger turn bet to throw him off. But my main question here is do I accept I am beat and throw away hand on river?

      Thanks,
      AKM

      Hey,

I mostly like to bet the River as well if he has 8x, or some kind of midpair bluffcatcher or smaller overpair

Now as played on the River, we fold. I don't expect him to show up with a ridiculous bluff 1.4:0.6 of the time

      Best regards,
      Gerv
