It's not unusual for BR swings of 20% and doesnt mean you are playing badly, necessarily.

Take a day or two off, reduce your tables by 1 or 2 to concentrate fully and maximise EV. Consider dropping limits to regain confidence. Then return, grind, crush.

The fact you had 20% of you BR available to lose shows:
      1. BRM
      2. You are (or were) a winning plyr.

Assuming a 50BI BR this is only like 10BI's down right? And this is going to happen frequently... Just keep playing as long as you are playing well. If your BR drops so far that you have to move down then move down until you're rolled for your current limit again. Simple really... I know it feels like it will go on forever and to be fair it might do but it probably won't ;) And you'll hit a good run that will outweigh your run bad, this is generally what happens to winning players. Best to remember this when times are bad and don't do anything stupid.

Wtf, man, you never ever fold KK on low flop. See, thats the psychology of downwings - you get many beats, then you get scared and get the urge to make -EV things, like folding KK in low flop for example.

I mean folding to his PFR. Or at least 4Bet. I was crushed His stats was like 4/0 in 60 hands. I would have folded if he wasn't button.

Lol, even if you are convinced he has AA you should at least setmine with your KK :D

If he really is that tight, 3betting KK might isolate you vs an even tighter range essentially meaning you just 3bet bluffed with KK. It's possible he is just running bad over 60 hands though, so maybe you shouldn't just assume he has Aces all the time. Personally I wouldn't worry too much about this hand, folding pf would be ridiculous.

lol 5BI is nothing. And as I moved down to limits. But still, down like 15% of my bankroll. But it would be like 10% or less if I have won those two hands where I was 95% percents to win.

I know it's way easier said than done, but if you're so upset about losing 20% of your BR, then you should consider more conservative BRM.

Knowing that I crushed the average level of 1eur SNG, I tried a 20BI BRM. I went from 20 to 123 euro in a few days, and then down to 70 purely because of variance (I was 20BI below EV as I started playing the 3 and 6 euros). That made me stop playing for a long time and made me lose my motivation. I just couldn't handle losing.

Now I use a 100BI rule, and trust me, I haven't felt the sting of a string of bad beats in a long time. My bankroll is getting bigger pretty quick and I care much less about the results, and I really feel like I'm on the right track. I know it can be hard to do, especially if it means dropping in the stakes, but it feels like the best choice I've ever made.

From your posts it really sounds like those bad beats are affecting your mood. That means you probably have a low risk tolerance, like me. So just consider changing your BRM, it will help A LOT even though it's not an easy choice to make.

      mine isn't that maniacish too.

but yeah. Not being results oriented...

Yeah, I feel like playing so much beter than I used to. But that doesn't help when I am on such a downswing. Well... I gues I will heater some money in future.

I feel like I could play anything from Tourneys to SnG or cash games. But yeah...

      This.

I've been playing cash games w/ 80BI and that just feel amazing. When I lose it's not the end of the world and I play better.

I'm taking shots at next limit w/ 25BI for it, but if I lose 1 or 2 I just quit and come back to the grind. I know it will "hit" sometime soon, but I really don't feel comfortable playing with 25 BI. So why would I?

I have even played w/ 10BI before. I guess when you learn you can have 5 bad beads in a row and then be 10BI below EV you start to change those things. One of these days I have lost 6 flips in a row, and with QQ to AJ in between. And I'm keeping track: from the last more than 20 (yes, twenty) times I had AA, I had action in ONE. And I don't play nitty, I do 3bet light, open my game, etc. Just didn't happen, all the times everyone folded. The ONE time I had action, guess what, donkey calls shove w/ 88 and hits 8.

So there you go, 13BI downswing in a box. But that's not the end of the line when you have 80.

It's just the way it is... I don't even quite believe it but even after a 13BI down I'm still up in the month - and quite glad for it.

Dudes, I've been 15 BI under EV so that makes this thread mine. Youre still welcome to post here, tho. GG.
