Villain is tight and passive, playing 8/3/1 (vpip/pfr/af)

      $0.05/$0.1 No-Limit Hold'em (9 handed)

      Known players:
      MP1:
      $19.34
      MP2:
      $7.27
      MP3 (Hero):
      $10.42
      CO:
      $10.73
      BU:
      $4.59
      SB:
      $10.00
      BB:
      $8.85
      UTG1:
      $4.15
      UTG2:
      $17.52

      Preflop: Hero is MP3 with A, T.
4 folds, Hero raises to $0.30, 2 folds, SB calls $0.25, BB folds.

      Flop: ($0.7) 3, Q, 7 (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $0.40, SB raises to $1.20, Hero calls $0.80.

      Turn: ($3.1) A (2 players)
SB bets $2.10, Hero raises to $8.92, SB calls $6.40(All-In).

      River: ($20.52) A (2 players)

      Final Pot: $20.52.

In hindsight, I should have called the turn, and then fold to his third barrel if unimproved? (even though in this case, I would have had to call on the river anyway after hitting trips) Just want to make sure.

      Hello nitaidean,

This is a spot where I would actually just consider folding on flop. We can't even be sure if the nit is going to pay us if we do hit our flush.

But as played the over-shove is likely overplayed on turn. Not many worse hands will Call you anyways and he is very likely on a set anyways there.

      Best regards.
