preflop starting hand chart question

I've been following the BSS starting hand chart for awhile. I noticed "suited face cards" (KQs, KJs....) should be folded from middle position all players fold. But it should be called if others called.

Can someone explain the reasoning for this?

with these kind of hands we are aiming to hit a flush or straight which are both quite strong holdings
but we don't hit them too often and our preflop hand is too weak to raise it from mid position
if we limp and get raised we can't call

the difference with limpers before us is
there are already more players involved who can give you a payoff
and second the possibility someone is going to raise you preflop sinks with more than one limper
