# Elephant Graph Basics

I am now starting to use elephant while playing nl5 on full tilt and while i'm ok with the HUD statistics i'm confused by what the graph and figures are telling me in overview.

For example while testing it out i have played 130 hands today.

Total \$0.09
Total big blinds 1.80
big blinds / 100 hands 1.38

obviously total = profit but what is 1.8 total big blinds and bb/100 hands 1.38 telling me?

I thought big blinds might have been how many times i have payed the big blind but the red line on the graph follows the same shape as the blue line and goes down to -35.

Could somebody please explain to me what these figures are? I know it seems like a very basic question but I just can't work it out.

Cheers

total big blinds = how much u won/lost not in \$ but in BB(big blinds)

bb/100 = how much big blinds u win/lose every one hundred hands

Thanks for the quick response, seems obvious now you've told me.

One last question, why do convert our profits into big blinds?

im not really sure, but i think to compare with other players who plays in other limits maybe even though its not relevant

equivalent in tournaments are buyins not BBs
