I like my fold here because I beat only A9, T9, J9 and I don't think he would overshove these hands except A9 maybe. But then I am afraid only of 79 and 89 so I am not too sur about the hand.

      Hero (BB): $2.00
      UTG: $1.06
      UTG+1: $6.65
      MP1: $0.94
      MP2: $1.73
      CO: $4.16
      BTN: $1.96
      SB: $1.34

Pre Flop: ($0.03) Hero is BB with 5 :club: 6
3 folds, MP2 calls $0.02, 1 fold, BTN calls $0.02, SB calls $0.01, Hero checks

      Flop: ($0.08) 7 :spade: 8 :diamond: 2  (4 players)
SB checks, Hero checks, MP2 checks, BTN checks

      Turn: ($0.08) 9 :spade: (4 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $0.06, MP2 calls $0.06, BTN folds, SB folds

      River: ($0.20) 9  (2 players)
Hero bets $0.13, MP2 raises to $1.65, Hero folds

      Hello FunkyD0nkey,

Actually you can even bet the flop while. At least will gain even some fold equity while you plan to Check/Call it anyways.

As played you can't really do much there. I am pretty sure that you are beat. It's a freeplay pot and he ain't gonna shove with a lot worse hands.

      Best regards.

should we really bet the flop ? I can't agree - first of all we are in a 4 way pot, out of position, second it was limped pot and very likely someone have 2pair,sets,tp and will raise for protection. check call the flop is the best option.
      .nice hand.

If you are going to Check/Call anyways then you can hide your hand with betting and might even sometimes just take down the pot right on flop. It's a freeplay pot and we shouldn't be that scared to even get raised.
