      Hello Pokersratetigists,
i am very interested in everything about Czechia and poker in common.
i will ask a fue questions and would be very happy if somebody could answer them for me! If those questions are answered in another thread in this forum i apologize and would be happy to get a link.

      my Questions are:

-Is livepoker legal in Czechia? (if somebody knows about casinos and homegames)

-Do you have to pay taxes on your pokerwinnings (live and/or online) in Czechia? (in case how much % will it roughly be?)

-Is Onlinepoker legal in Czechia? (if it is complicated a few hints about the current situation and if somebody has been sued for it yet would be nice)

I really apreciate any answer

      1. Live poker can be played in casinos and poker clubs in Czech Republic. Poker clubs have status simillar to amateur sport clubs and usually host games like €8 rebuys. There was an interest from casinos to ban this ventures.

      2. Situation is fairly unclear. Laws presented to parlament lacked the quality to be acceptable. But you would pay 15% of your winning exceeding €800 at the worst case scenario right now.

      3. As in point 2. There was a law presented, that would fine internet providers for letting their users get to a every page that advartises or even mentions online betting, ... Fortunately we won't have stricter rules than China or Belarus.
It is not illegal right now to play online, but in the country where a monopol lottery company went broke everything is possible.

is that for livepoker or for onlinepoker or for both?

either way do you know pokerplayers in CZ who do/do not pay taxes?
or: in other words: is it common to pay taxes?
or: has somebody yet been sued for not paying taxes?

      thank you a lot!
