      Hello Jim4rdo,

Not much to add, I would have played the same way. Trapping vs such a stack is fine. He is more likely to go broke if we do Check behind and maybe even hits some overcard or even goes broke with weaker PPs.

But one possibility is that he has some kind of PPs and we don't really want to see overcards. Therefore I might even just bet myself smallish on flop but of course we can't get it away from here. I am definitely going broke, he may easily even have worse pairs, PPs and even bluffs as you Checked on flop.

      Best regards.

      Ah right.

Just for clarification, you think I should have called his river bet yeah? Since I've checked behind inducing bluff/weaker pp's gotta go broke in this 3bet pot?

Yep. He can easily even play this way with TT,QQ and even maybe AQ/AJ or whatsoever hands.

      Ah right fair enough.

But I lose against AQ/AJ so surely I wouldn't call if we thouigh he could have that? Or do you mean it's possible he has AQ sometimes, but then often will play the hand exactly the same with TT QQ etc?

Yeah, I mean he may have but as well may have wider range maybe something like KQ even which turns his hand into bluff or some smaller PPs.
