I think i should have bet pot on the flop here for more protection, since both called, i put one of them on a FD which gets there by the turn

I call one half pot bet to see if i can improve, but his strong river bet is enough to force me out

      correct play?

      Hello joeldowey123,

Preflop: Why do you limp with such hands in first place? Should be standard fold. You can't hit much with them and hard to play with them as well.

      As played
Postflop: Bet/Fold the turn as well rather than go for Check/Call mode and start to guess either you are ahead or not and catch the bluff.

      Best regards.
