      How would you play this? I'm thinking I should've bet the flop then c/r the river but villain felt weak....

      I also just wanted to show it off. ;)

      You bet the flop big as if to protect, same on the turn (though a check-raise on a scare card ace usually isn't a bad choice, it looks as if your contibet failed so most will bet into you).
      River is a bet of couse against a weak villain :D

      But hey, it's probably your first Royal, I can't blame ya for wanting to play it slow just to see whether that flush would become royal. Now you have one under your belt, so you don't have to ride it out anymore whenever you get another "royal draw". ;)

      You misplayed this hand: you have a big hand - you want a big pot: bet flop/turn/river.
