      is this play alright? i felt he was c-betting with overcards. i thought i could represent either an overpair or even trips on that board... i know it paid off in this example but over the long run is this alright to do if there are no other players in the pot? maybe the bet was a little steep so if it was alright to do this, how much should i bet in this situation?

      Hello DrDunne,

      It's a small chance that he hits his overcard anyways:

      Board: T:heart: T:club: 4:spade:
             Equity     Win     Tie
      UTG    27.02%  26.87%   0.15% { AKo }
      UTG+1  72.98%  72.83%   0.15% { 99 }

      So therefore you can as well just call and maybe even keep him in the play and is capable of 2nd barreling with bluff/overcards.

      Best regards.
