villain was 54/9 over a reasonable sample and i knew id get called down with any 2 probs, so i didnt cbet

i would usually cbet this kind of board, paired etc

given the reads was this okay?

the river just seemed like he was trying to buy it, something just seemed off about his play, and also felt A high might have some SD value

      Hello joeldowey123,

With your overcards you can easily just CBet the flop vs his calling range. We very likely even are ahead plus we can easily get fold equity.

And as played not much to add, should be fine to Call. If he really had the PP or even stronger hand then he would be very likely either bet the flop or turn.

      Best regards.
