With all the respect to Pokerstrategy for its Elephant and the desire to help poker newcomers have a tracking software without investing much needed bucks, I would advice to go for HEM. Simply better.

Reliable, fast, constantly updated and improved... Would be hard to think of even 1 leak of this program. Seems like it has beaten PokerTracker in terms of popularity and it already tells a lot.

If you're really only starting out and you don't know whether you're in it for the long term, or if you're just going to play a bit of micro-limits every now and then, elephant is absolutely fine. The HUD is a bit messy but it works.

If you're serious and looking to improve, find leaks and get a more in-depth overview of your hands, how you play from various positions or even how specific opponents play in every conceivable situation, then you have to go with Holdem Manager.

PT3 is horrible imo, compared to HEM. And since they cost about the same it's an easy choice. Only benefit is that with PT3 you get 60 days trial and with HEM only 15
